I went to a bookshop yesterday,
Comfortable in a cranny,
It had full shelves
Of witches and elves
And I forgot my granny!
I went to a bookshop yesterday,
I'm glad I entered the hollow,
Wisdom in the air
I sat in a chair
And slowly began to swallow.
I went to a bookshop yesterday,
Didn't notice the girl who ran it
Until I heard her talk
'Bout some book in the stock
And then she began it...
She began to describe
Every book that she saw -
Dickens, Twain, Tolstoy,
Arundhati Roy,
Boy, was I in awe!
I think I fell in crush with her
As her bright eyes chatted away,
I took my books and paid
And then farewell I bade...
I went to a bookshop yesterday.
